Letzte Woche ist von Valentin Niebler und Kolleg*innen ein Paper zu den Paradoxien der Regulierung von Plattformarbeit erschienen, 
im Kontext des einst am BIM angesiedelten PLUS-Projekts. Titel: „Towards ‘bogus employment?’ The contradictory outcomes of ride-hailing 
regulation in Berlin, Lisbon and Paris” – Plattformarbeit im Ride-Hailing-Sektor ist fast ausschließlich migrantische Arbeit.


Last week Valentin Niebler and colleagues published a paper on the paradoxes of regulating platform work, in the context of the 
PLUS project once based at BIM. Title: "Towards 'bogus employment?' The contradictory outcomes of ride-hailing regulation 
in Berlin, Lisbon and Paris" – platform work in the ride-hailing sector is almost exclusively migrant work.

Diese Woche, am Mittwoch und Donnerstag, haben Nihad El-Kayed und die neue studentische Mitarbeiterin Marie Schmidt am Transferworkshop zum Thema „Belebung und (Zwischen-)Nutzung von Räumen“ (Projekt StadtumMig II) teilgenommen.

Triple Feature: Nihad El-Kayed recently participated in an internal discussion workshop of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung on the topic 
of "Cartography of Cohesion". Two weeks earlier, gave a presentation on "Patterns of Reception, Arrival and Infrastructure

Es bewegt sich was – die Einwanderung von Fachkräften soll nach den Plänen der Bundesregierung 
erleichtert werden, Forscher*innen des IAB, darunter Herbert Brücker, nehmen zum „Entwurf einer Verordnung 
zur Weiterentwicklung der Fachkräfteeinwanderung” Stellung.

Am 24.4. stellt Prof. Zerrin Salikutluk das BIM in der AG Diversität der HU vor. Ihre Präsentation 
ist die Grundlage für die Diskussion zur Verankerung von Diversitätsforschung an der HU 
und zum Themenbereich Diversität in der Überarbeitung des BerlHG. Salikutluk gehört zur 
Arbeitsgruppe, die eine entsprechende Satzung dazu verfassen wird.

On 24 April, Prof. Zerrin Salikutluk will present the BIM at HU's Diversity WG. Her presentation is the basis 
for the discussion about the anchoring of diversity research at the HU and on  the topic of diversity in the 
revision of the  BerlHG. Salikutluk belongs to the working group that will draft a corresponding statute on this.

Anlässlich der Auftakt-Veranstaltung des Projekts „(Anti-) Rassismus im organisierten Sport" 
von der Deutschen Sportjugend und dem Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund hat Tina Nobis am 
29.03.2023 einen Impuls-Vortrag zum Thema Rassismus im Sport gehalten. Das Projekt wird 
durch Staatsministerin Reem Alabali-Radovan gefördert und beinhaltet ein unabhängiges 
Forschungsprojekt, an dem Lara Kronenbitter, Solvejg Wolfers-Pommerenke und Tina Nobis 
beteiligt sind und für das zeitnah weitere Mitarbeiter*innenstellen ausgeschrieben werden.


On the occasion of the kick-off event of the project „(Anti-) Racism in Organized Sport“ by the 
German Sports Youth and the German Olympic Sports Confederation, Tina Nobis gave a keynote 
speech on 29.03.2023 on the topic of racism in sport. The project is supported by Minister of State 
Reem Alabali-Radovan and includes an independent research project; Lara Kronenbitter, Solvejg 
Wolfers-Pommerenke and Tina Nobis are involved in the project for which further staff positions 
will be advertised in the near future.
