BIMtalk mit Aileen Edele: Bildung in der Migrationsgesellschaft – wie geht Bildung besser?

In Sachen Schulbildung stellt die neue heiß diskutierte PISA-Studie der Bundesrepublik ein Armutszeugnis aus. Bildung in der Migrationsgesellschaft war wiederum das Thema der 6. Ausgabe des Podcasts BIMtalk mit Prof. Dr. Aileen Edele (siehe Foto). Hier wird die große Frage, wie Bildung besser gelingen könnte, diskutiert. / When it comes to school education, the new hotly debated PISA study gives Germany a poor report card. Zwischen dem Anspruch an eine „gute Bildung" und der Realität im deutschen Bildungssystem klafft eine Lücke. Das deutsche Bildungssystem ist in vielerlei Hinsicht von Krisen geprägt. In den Schulen besteht ein massiver Lehrkräftemangel, Unterricht fällt aus und es gibt wenig Zeit für Aufgaben, die über den Unterricht hinausgehen. Gleichzeitig ist in Deutschland der Bildungserfolg noch immer stark an die Herkunft gekoppelt und wir stehen gesamtgesellschaftlich vor neuen Herausforderungen, etwa im Umgang mit Informationen. Die Folgen der Mängel im Bildungssystem bescheinigen auch das nationale Bildungsmonitoring des Instituts zur Qualitätsentwicklung im Bildungswesen (IQB): ein negativer Bildungstrend. Das Kompetenzniveau von Schülerinnen und Schülern ist im Zeitvergleich rückläufig.
 
Wie kann dem in der Lehramtsausbildung begegnet werden? Wen treffen die Mängel des Bildungssystems besonders? Und was wissen wir aus der Forschung über Diskriminierung im Klassenzimmer?
 
Zum Semesterstart im Oktober haben Hêlîn und Daniel mit Prof. Aileen Edele gesprochen, die in der Lehramtsausbildung an der Humboldt-Universität und als Co-Leiterin der Bildungsabteilung am BIM genau an diesen Themenfeldern dran ist.

There is a gap between the demand for a "good education" and the reality of the German education system. The German education system is characterized by crises in many respects. There is a massive shortage of teachers in schools, lessons are canceled and there is little time for tasks that go beyond the classroom. At the same time, educational success in Germany is still strongly linked to origin and we are facing new challenges throughout society, for example in dealing with information. The consequences of the shortcomings in the education system are also confirmed by the national education monitoring of the Institute for Quality Development in Education (IQB): a negative educational trend. Pupils' competence levels are declining in a time comparison.
 

How can this be countered in teacher training? Who is particularly affected by the shortcomings of the education system? And what do we know from research about discrimination in the classroom?
 
At the start of the semester in October, Hêlîn and Daniel spoke to Prof. Aileen Edele, who is involved in teacher training at Humboldt-Universität and co-head of the education department at the BIM, about precisely these topics.
