Profile


 

Sarah Gentrup has been a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Petra Stanat since May 2012. In the period from May 2012 to March 2015, she worked in the externally funded project "Acquisition of Competencies and Learning Prerequisites" (KuL). Since April 2015, she has been a research assistant for research and teaching at the Institute of Educational Science at the Humboldt University of Berlin.

Sarah Gentrup studied Educational Science at the Free University of Berlin. From 2008 to 2012, she worked as a student assistant at the Department of School and Instructional Research (Prof. Dr. Bettina Hannover) at Freie Universität Berlin.

Her research interests are in the area of competence development of preschool and primary school children, especially with regard to ethnic, social, and gender-related educational disparities. A special focus is on teachers' expectations and the importance of teacher-child interactions.
