Dr. Tina Nobis is a member of the Department of “Integration, Sport and Football” of the BIM. She has been working in the Department for Sports Sociology at the Institute for Sports Science of the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin since 2009. Until this time (2004-2009) she was a Research Associate in the field of Sports Sociology, resp. Sports Anthropology at the University of Potsdam. In 2012, she obtained her doctorate degree with a dissertation on the subject of “Political Socialization Achievements of Volunteer Associations” at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
Tina Nobis teaches, researches and publishes in the fields of migration and integration, social capital, civic engagement, non-profit organizations, and political socialization. She was and still is involved in different research and evaluation projects that deal with integration, socialization and participation achievements of sports associations and other volunteer associations – from a theoretical and empirical perspective.
