As part of the Strategic Partnership Initiatives between Humboldt University and Princeton University, the joint project of Humboldt University’s Berlin Institute for Integration and Migration Studies and Princeton’s Department of Computer Science (initiated by Prof. Manoel Horta Ribeiro, Princeton and Dr. Nader Hotait, HU) has launched the MEDIVA Project (Media Diets and Democratic Values).

One focus of MEDIVA is research assessing the role of recommendation algorithms on behavioral and attitudinal shifts toward AI through digital field experiments. To present current findings and foster discussion and networking among Humboldt, Princeton, as well as other colleagues from Berlin, we will host a symposium on May 18, 2026, at Humboldt University, Berlin.
