About the Book & Author

Jacqueline Broadhead is Director of the Global Exchange on Migration at the Centre on Migration, Policy and Society, at the University of Oxford. In her work she focuses on local government, migration, integration, inclusion, and on how place-based narratives can facilitate the development of inclusive communities.

In her new book „Welcoming Cities” Jacqueline argues that a city’s approach to welcoming migrants offers a profound lens through which we understand the city both as a site of arrival and a foundation for inclusion.

This event is part of the MENBELONG project (ERC Advanced Grant), which examines how single migrant men build belonging across five countries.
